Today's tasks...

Hi guys,

I'm sorry I can't be there today. I I don't want to make any of you ill! I thought it best to give you something else to do today as I am not there to help you with filming. Rest assured that on Thursday we will be back into filming.

Today, you have lots to get done:

1. Finish any outstanding scripting, storyboarding, shooting scripts
2. Organise all props, coastumes, makeup, sets, actors etc for tomorrow's filming (you should be well and truly finished filming by Monday so get organised!)
3. Complete your blog setup and first blog entry (as described in the blog setup instructions on the Media website)
4. See the previous post on this blog about 'following'. (well done, David and Alice!)
5. Find each others' blogs and 'follow' them all.
6. Reflect on what you've learned so far and write your thoughts in a blog post. You may want to talk about problems you've had, interesting inspirations, making (and then changing) all of your plans, equipment failures, the practicalities of filming, working with group members who aren't always in attendance, etc. Keep it short and sweet - 300 words should be ample!

This is important practice for your Critical Evaluation - the 3rd part of your major task! It will also remind you of pitfalls to avoid and successful strategies to put in place when you're doing your major task.

I will be checking everyone's blog from my sickbed so get going!

Hello everyone,

Please log into your blogs then revisit this page. You should be able to see an item in the right hand bar entitled Followers. Click on the link and 'follow' this blog. Once everyone has done so, I'd like you to find each others' blogs ('view followers') and 'follow' each others' blogs as well.

I've become a follower of everyone whose blog I have been added to as an author. If you don't appear on this list, you need to add me ASAP. If you're Sam, there was some sort of error with yours and I will chat to you about this.

Hello Year 12s,
All access issues should be sorted out by now so please see me if there are any problems.

After you've set up your blog, I'd like you to create your first post (as detailed in the instructions). I've updated the instructions to get rid of a few bugs.

I'll post the full list of your blogs as soon as everyone has signed up. Don't forget to add me as an author of your blog!

Lastly, keep working on your storyboards, scripts, shooting scripts for your preliminary task. Don't forget to demonstrate match-on-action, 180 degree rule and general continuity editing. The task MUST include someone goign through a door and 2 people talking.
